an other flame war has started.

i am not going to add any more to it.

i am not perfect, and do not expect perfection from others.

i do not respond to posts that are flame war salvo's.

i do my best to keep to words.

When i fail, but being human, i sometimes fail, please forgive me, to keep my post words, i do try to keep them about my thoughts, my opinions, and not to assign thoughts and opinions to others.

i do not assume that other need me to save them, and i do not expect others to rush to my defense.

i think most of us here are adults, and unless repeatedly provoked, will behave like such.

i try to be charitable to those who, when repeated provoked, become irate.

i avoid all contact that i can with people who i think are acting to provoke conflict.

I look for the best in people, and have found here, the best i could hope to find, in more people than i could have ever hoped for.

Blessed are the peacemakers I will rejoice if the board can get back to discussion of words and language, and the board be limited to celebration there of. This old fart likes peace and quiet.

peacemakers dr. bill, a more full quotation for you:

--9 Blessed are the peacemakers, / For they shall be called sons of God.
-10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, / For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
-11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

A nuance is that "to make" is an active verb; e.g., "those who work for peace"; "the makers and maintainers of peace"; "those who make peace" (New Living Translation; Amplified Bible: Worldwide English)

Sigh!

Don't I wish we could see more of "those who work for peace"; "the makers and maintainers of peace"; "those who make peace"
