OK. The search for the male counterpart for strumpet has got me thinking about what the male counterpart would be for that offensive term naming a woman who harps and carps and nits and picks and nags and is a drag. What is the male version of such a person called?

I don't really know why, but the phrase that pops into my mind with a male who annoys me is "sonofabitch".It isn't logical to blame his mother for his faults, but there it is. Bastard is second choice.
