Thanks to Sparteye! (this threads a "hit"!) (for newcomers, we found out a long while ago that, for the threaded viewers, when a thread gets to 99 posts it makes it easier for viewing if we start a continuation. And flat viewers don't have to open a second page either.) Ha ha! It's knowing that your door is always open and your path is free to walk That makes me tend to keep my sleeping bag rolled up and stashed behind your couch And it's knowing I'm not shackled by forgotten words and bonds, and the ink stains that have dried up on some line, That keeps you in the backroads by the rivers of my memory, that keeps you ever Gentle On My MindGentle On My Mind, John Hartford (RIP '01...loved that guy!) boronia - the comment was not on the merits of the song, in fact, I quite like the song, but on your attribution of the artist. Did Helen Reddy really do a version of Mercedes Benz? Eh, probably. But the thought of it makes me giggle. And I'll bet 999 people out of 1000 would first think of the Janis Joplin version.

Oh-oh it's so hot outside and the air is so sweet And when the pressure drop is heavy I don't want to hear you speak You know most killing is committed at ninety degrees When it's too hot to breathe and it's too hot to think.

Under the Arctic fire Over the seas of silence Hauling on frozen ropes For all my days remaining But would north be true?
All colours bleed to red Asleep on the ocean's bed Drifting in empty seas For all my days remaining
But would north be true? Why should I? Why should I cry for you?

Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again, Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping, And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence. ...

I went to my brother to ask for a loan 'cause I was busted. the food that we planted last summer was gone, and I was busted.
My brother said "Ray, there ain't a thing I can do, me and my wife are both down with the flu, and I was just thinking 'bout calling on you, because I'm busted."
