The song lyrics thread has made me think that you guys might enjoy a game I've been playing on another board. Link the Lyrics is played with a series of excerpts from song lyric(s); the object is to post lyrics which duplicate a word or phrase included in the immediately preceding post.
So - if I posted the lyrics from You're Having My Baby [bushasuru emoticon], someone could follow with the lyrics from Baby, Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me [bushasuru-again e]. In posting lyrics, please ~
~ confine the lyrics to four lines or less, unless the song is out of copyright ~ boldface the linking word or phrase ~ identify the title of the song, and ~ identify the composer or first performer of the song
OK. Here we go. *********************************
Seventy six trombones caught the morning sun, With a hundred and ten cornets right behind. There were more than a thousand reeds springing up like weeds, there were horns of ev'ry shape and kind.
-- 76 Trombones, from The Music Man, Meredith Willson

There's no use in crying, it's all over But I know there'll always be another day Well my heart will rise up with the morning sun And the hurt I feel will simply melt away
Why, Christine McVie

There'll always be an England While there's a country lane, Wherever there's a cottage small Beside a field of grain. There'll always be an England While there's a busy street, Wherever there's a turning wheel, A million marching feet.
There'll always be an England -- Parker & Charles

Following this back could link to the 3 min earlier consuela edited post.
Everybody plays the fool sometime; There's no exception to the rule. Listen, baby, it may be factual, may be cruel, I ain't lying, everybody plays the fool.
