Since Helen was seeking our original efforts. What about some favorite but unfamiliar non-originals?

A quiz limerick (spoiler answer below in white), copyright John Miller Talco TX 75487:

In English there's three kinds of "t*"
Which y* CAN'T spell, I'll bet you a br*,
In lines like the first.
