here's a google trick for finding word origins!

in the search field, append the word 'origin' to the word in question; e.g., for 'Taswegian' I searched "taswegian origin" (without the "quotes", which would limit it too much) -- sometimes this works wonderfully, sometimes not.

oh, and alternatively one could try "<word> etymology"

Looking for me, were you, tsuwm? We generally call ourselves Tasmanians (we're a simple people) -- Taswegians sounds a bit "posh" for us. So, what is the origin of the term?
