Boy, howdy! This is inspiring me. I'll not go into a lot of specific bitches right now, but let me, by way of an e.g., say that brainstorming is a group activity, thinking is not. Brainstorming is not just meeting. A brainstorm session is a meeting with a specific set of rules. Ideas are thrown out with no attempt to quash any. Do not blame the word for its misuse. Some of these curmudgeons would throw out, not just the baby with the bath water but the whole idea of indoor plumbing.
