Again the thread has gotten a bit long, so it's been suggested that we start anew.
Happy birthday to you today, Avy, and tomorrow, Max.
May the hair on your toes never fall out. can anyone guess what i'm reading??
BTW, there are eleven thousand new posts since the last time i logged in... and it hasn't been that long. don't you people slow down for the holidays or something??
It is the anniversary of the day my father married my stepmother, making me one of the very few people I know who has to give presents on his birthday.
Well, you could take the mathom principle to its logical conclusion and just give the present they give you straight back again, couldn't you?
Capital Ki: I searched "mathom principle" and can't find anything. The language of this birthday thread is taking esoteric turns... Thanks for any elucidation for one in the dark. Birthday candles ain't shedding adequate light.
Dearest and sweetest Avy and Max (not necessarily respectively),
As a benficiary I thank you both for the knowledge and perspective you have brought forth, and aside from my hopes that you have (had) the best day ever, please accept my belated congrats for having another year licked and scratched into the sky.
Happy belated, Avy and Max! Hope your birthdays were as special as you are. (I really must get back to the board more often; entirely too much to catch up on!)

In Indonesia you are expected to buy cakes or other treats for all your workmates/classmates on your birthday. With about 60 people in the office it mounts up.
Take a little spin in your new car today and imagine all of us here singing you "Happy Birthday". Hope you haven't forgotten how to find the board. They say the mind is the 2nd thing to go.
Maverick has asked me to convey his thanks and kind regards to you good folk here. His work has unexpectedly sent him out of town for a few days. Consuelo, you are a riot! Should we ask him if he's lost the first thing yet?? <eg>
Belated December birthday felicitations to both Maverick and Juanmaria; hope the holiday bustle adds to, rather than detracts from, your special days! Enjoy!
I thought that thingy behind your name said (old hand) not (old man). Sumpin' to be said for 'sperience. Have a very Happy Birthday, Old Hand. PS I sent the kiss Special Delivery. Did you get it?
Just to thank everyone for their very thoughtful and kind birthday greetings! And, thanks, Connie! I was going to point out the hand instead of man, and, perhaps, recommend to Jackie and Helen a trip to the optometrist! But, unfortunately, the old in the appellation seems to be there either way. [sigh-e] Thanks again, y'all!
This is why they call me the late nancyk. Happy belated, WO'N! And, as long as I'm here: Happy one-day-early greetings to Xara! May you both have many, many more wonderful years ahead.
to everyone who suffered through another birthday this year, always remember: it's not another year older; it's another year of life wasted in a banal dance with the mundane, edging precariously close to the precipice of decay and death.
