Well, I bought a microphone for my computer, so now I'm looking for some sweet and generous soul to help me install and test it using the Yahoo chat voice chat function.
Any volunteers?

Sorry, Babe, first thing I learned in the service was, never volunteer for anything. Besides that, it would be the blind leading the blind. I have had a microphone since I bought this computer 2 or 3 years ago and it's still in the original plastic wrapping.

i am one of those people who never quite learned DOS--my first computer-- a TI99/4A didn't use it, and i kept that from 1981 till 1993- and then got a computer with windows 3.1 i need to learn a little DOS, but never got good at it.
in 1996 or 97, the CEO of a company i worked at was still using a DOS based application.. and he expected me to do a project using the old software..
things were fine, except if i needed to edit a file (it was a DB application) --at one point, frustrated by the app, i told him, I could accomplish more if i could RTFM-- and he asked "what?-- i replied "if i could Read The Manual.." he started to ask-- "RTFM--what does the F stand..??" blushed, and said "never mind!"
