Dear GallantTed: in looking up something else, I ran across the Gaelic names for the seasons. Please tell us how they are pronounced:
These festivals came to
be enjoyed during the four quarters of the Celtic year: Earrach,
spring; Sambradh, summer; Foghara, harvest; and Geambradh,
winter. To these, of course, we have to add the Christian festival
of Nollaig, Christmas.
