"Young peoples' use of the term as "Radical!" - a term of warm approbation -" Is that what "Radical" means to young people? I thought it described something exceptional or daring or exciting - i.e. a much broader application of the conventional meaning of the word. "Rad" is a derivative (or abreviation) of the colloquial word "Radical", is it not? "That's rad" means "That's way cool" (i.e. exceptional), I believe. Or am I radically removed from reality on this one?
