I came across the expression "pink fit" in a book the other day. Any ideas as to where this expression came from?
Could it be the opposite of "blue fit"
I have read this expression in an old (1940's? 1950?) book. In context, it meant an overstated
and exaggeratedly gay expostulation. "Pink" was a perjorative way to refer to a gay male. In the
1940's/1950's, gay women had yet to be invented ....
How about pink fit referring to the fact that when one is having one, his/her face becomes pink/red with anger? Sounds plausible.
