What is the term for the killing of cats? I desperately need to know. There must be a proper term, and until then we are forced to use felicide, which isn't half bad. thanks, beauty bandit

Hi BB,

A morbid and repulsive term, if you ask me. I'd love to know the reason for your desperation - if only to find out the darker motives behind your request.

There is no term for mass murdering felines so I'm sure you have just coined a new word. Let's hope it doesn't catch on! Alternative: Felinicide. But this could also be the term for murdering Surrealist Italian film directors!

sounds to me like the killing of joy.

(meanwhile, chuckling @ Rubrick's offering.... but you'd need to double a consonant there)
