Nor is it jam.
In USn's us(e)age:
Jelly made from fruit juice etc.
Jam made from fruit etc., all boiled up till it is homgenous.
Preserve has intact pieces of fruit in it.
Marmalade has citrus rind in it.
What would be the Brit term for what USns call jelly?
