Okay, Geoff, since you brought it up I guess somebody has to do it. So let me make the requisite mention of the famed Amish enclaves in Lancaster, PA...Intercourse and Bird-in-Hand!(there's a few more, but I'd have to look 'em up)
And I remember that William Least Heat Moon in his incredible travelogue, Blue Highways, mentions a little town he came across in Tennessee (I believe) called Nameless!
