Oh - and "boxers" - I take the Victor Sylvester approach to comfort of the lower extremities!Has the person who has as of yet tried to withhold his/her gender finally revealed it? I don't know of any females who wear boxers.

At WalMart, jockeys outnumber boxers 10 to 1.

No, only an old school tie, which is quite different.

>As to you non-US'ns >College sports is a very big business. MSU's football stadium seats 72,000
Yes, I can see that it is different. I don't actually remember anyone who wasn't sleeping with or related to a member of one of the teams actually going to see any of the games (and even so, only once or twice to show willing). I think the average "gate" for a college rugby match was around 10, a little short of 72,000. I really don't have any idea what they wore!

I don't know of any females who wear boxersJazz, I "came out" some weeks ago, after taking up jmh's very kind offer of counselling. In any case, I had given so many strong indications of my masculinity that it was not a breathtaking shock to anyone, I guess. And the reference, above, to Victor Sylvester, whose speciality was providing strict tempo music for ballroom dancing, should make it fairly plain - at least to people this side of the pond! (Actually, I suppose it would be fairly obscure to those of you in USofA - I don't think V.S. was well known over there - and certainly not to anyone who is now under fifty!)

In her recently acquired Oz syntax, Jackie points out: Geoff, you're...too cute, but.

That's fine. I have a slot at 3pm after RhubarbCommando's counselling (delusional gender dysfunction) and before Mr Bingley pops in (he's still coming to terms with the 21st Century aren't we all).

I was proud to be a member of the first graduating class of George Mason University, at that time it was George Mason College of the University of Virginia. BA History 1968. We've NEVER been beaten on the football field. EVER.

Dear TEd: I suggest that everybody who hasn't already done so look back maybe six months for an article in Smithsonian magazine about George Mason, who was tremendously more important in the shaping of the Constitution than any of my history books mentioned. I used to live in Virginia and went by parts of George Mason University every day, but never knew of his accomplishments, for which he should be famous, but has been neglected. You can find the article at the Smithsonian site.Bill Hunt

And, as long as you don't ever form a team, NEVER will be, EVER. Bully for the Bulldogs! <Why do I think they are the bulldogs? Are they the bulldogs???>
  How's the basketball team doing?

Patriots Advance To CAA Men's Basketball Title Game, Play UNCW at 7:30 p.m. Monday On ESPN 2
If they win they have an automatic berth in the Final 64. Doesn't that sound much better than 16th seed in the West region?
Interestingly, my wife is a huge fan of North Carolina, was a friend of Dean Smith's, etc., and I have never in my life even been to a basketball game.

Of course, you must mean the "University of North Carolina at North Bynum" - that little college that thinks that perhaps G-d graduated from there?!
How in the world, when there are so many better teams to support (like the wonderful Wolfpack of North Carolina State University), could she be a fan of that... that... I hesitate to call it a school or college or, especially, a university!
But then again, if G-d is not a Tarheel, why is the sky Carolina Blue?!
  GO HEELS! BEAT DOOK!
Shoshannah originally from near there, lived in CH for three fitful years - best eatery in town is STILL the Rathskeller for the Single Gambler Platter and pitcher of iced tea!
