My fate so far in advance is a total unknown - but I'll keep paying attention to the planning and see if it can happen. Thanks, Sparteye, for organizing.

The only thing that could keep me away would be a funeral: mine. Sweet Max, not to worry--we know you would be there if you could. And, who knows what the next ten months will bring! Oh, you-all, I am excited to death, and worried to death: I just know I'm going to be involved in some deeply gratifying convo with someone I love, and then a new arrival will appear in the doorway and I'll want to immediately run over and hug them, but...AUGH! Okay, here's the deal: how 'bout if I get there before anybody else, and the rest of you time your arrivals on the hour or half-hour, ok? Did I catch something about discussion topics being proposed? Do you think we'll really need that? Can't we just sit and jabber? Jazz-o, tell you what--if you drive over here, we can ride up together, more than likely. You're a bit too far east for me to "pick up on the way". Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohmigoodness - with all you out-of-staters planning to come, guess Michiganders gotta be there - no excuses! At this point, dates look good.

Sparteye, just to ice the cake, any Lugnuts games that weekend? Also, kudos on the name "Wordapalooza." I wonder if Anu et al might make a guest appearance...

But aren't all our fates so unknown? No, really, I'm in the same boat as Hyla (the SS Father Hood, I think it's called), but I, too, will follow along for the planning stages. This will be so exciting, even if I'm not there!

Rhuby: Huhh! another female who's fallen to the spurious charms of Jason Dubois! ... mind you - I wouldn't mind seeing their fireworks display in the evening! (so long as I don't have to watch the baseball first! OK, fess up, Mister Brit. How on earth do you know a) who the Lugnuts are and 2) who JD is? I was unaware of the existence of either until Faldage clued me in. And no, you don't have to sit through the game (though witty conversation makes a nice counterpoint to baseball, be it major or minor league) -- just come for the pyrotechnics, which I assume take place only if the 'Nuts win. But I guess you know more about that than I do!

Michiganders gotta be there But what about Michigeese?
Chicago geography: Why did the chicken cross Michigan Avenue? To get to the other side. ... the duck cross? To get to the Drake Hotel. ... the goose cross? To find a Michigander.
OK, so it's not up to TEd's standards.

Ah! My world-knowledge, whilst very far from omniscient, is pervasive, not to say encyclopaedic! And I have my spies everywhere, and my stalk is found in many pies! [mysterious look with face obscured by large hat and part of a cloak emoticon]
P.S edit and, so far as I know, the 'nuts have a firework display every week during the season, but I can't remeber which night.

I wouldn't touch that one with a ten-foot lugnut.

Well, cool! I think I could make it. Musick-if you have to walk, you'd only have to walk to Kalamazoo. Or, you could take the train. Or, if the '39 wants to rest in some town along the way, you could ask me to come get you! ok
