The important thing about quiescently frozen confections is to consume them before they deliquesce (from an unrelated etymology, for them what's interested - de + liquere).
Only vaguely related note, having nothing to do with words: I have a good friend whose father owns the Froz-Fruit company, which makes quiescently frozen confections here in the US in many wonderful fruit flavors. Visiting said father in LA a few years back, I was invited to help myself from a huge freezer full of many flavors of Froz-Fruit. A very pleasant, numb-toothed evening was spent.
