Risking the wrath of AnnaS (oh, wait, that's me, never mind ), I am starting a whole nother thread to note that conspicuous-in-his-absence tsuwm has not posted here since early last week. In his position as Pooh-Bah, he owes his public his presence. Pooh-Bah MaxQ let us know he would possibly be intermittent in the coming months, and Pooh-Bah Jackie *did have a higher calling there for a while, entertaining the Mad Folk from Zild.
With Pooh-bah status comes noblesse oblige (pardon my French). Where is tsuwm?
As the other (known) resident of Minneapolis on the board, I can say firmly that I haven't seen him. At least not to my knowledge. I was, however, pleasantly surprised that after a note to the effect that wwftd would be on an unspecified leave of absence, it started popping up in my mailbox. Of course, a shell script could easily be responsible for that. Oh, hell. I'm no help...
oh, i wasn't suggesting that he was in cog neat-Opardon my french; i was alluding to max' thinly veiled extortion attempt in the "[wh]OOPS i did it again" thread.
I must admit I had tended to assume the poor feller was retreating in despair at our manufacture of interminable ridiculous chat (IRC for short), having found it somewhat ircsome.
Many might celebrate the fact I shall be vacating for a week or so's introspection from today, so shall be doing my bit to reduce greenhouse emissions. Bless you all while I am away.
Thanks, Jackie. But puzzled am I - a couple of what? [innocent smile] Tee-hee! What you told me, of course! (And that innocent smile didn't fool me for a minute!)
max, you seem to have scumbled (how is that possible??)the "more later", which was in reference to my ongoing AOL [ha!] server problems, with the hiatus notice of a few days later. all of which has combined and contrived to severely and fortuitously limit the number of words I've sent out this summer. of course, this explains nothing. da nada. {y'all come back now, y'hear?}
It was a joke between us, hence the white font. Inside jokes are a thang around here, I certainly wouldn't have the Gaul pmf® to start such a precedent.
As for the Portuguese, which is my second language, if you really want to know I'll tell you. Don't want to bore everyone.
as far as da nada being faux something else, it really doesn't matter, since I meant it to be Spanish. actually, I believe it is a common answer to gracias... da nada [it is nothing].
as a couple of cpf* have spelled out, that should be de nada
