Well according to the chaos theory, the most exciting things, the chance for the most creativity is in the realm of chaos..
So it seems only natural that when you bring together a number of creative people, you are at risk of entering the realm of chaos. All things considered, I think we manage to avoid complete chaos.. But have just enough to make things interesting...
...so to keep it moving sideways, can you actually have a realm of chaos? Who would rule? Would there be elections? Who would guard the gates [mumblemumble]
Oh- no not at all! Anarchy is a state with out government or ruling body –which can either be a utopia or lawless political disorder..
but chaos– the state of thing in which chance is supreme. The strange thing about chaos–it that it can contain order.. Just as if you flip a penny, you have a 50/50 chance of heads or tails... and if it is flipped 10 times, and each times comes up heads.. You still have a 50/50 chance at heads on the next flip–
if you flip long enough, the 50/50 pattern will be more evident.(and you are likely to get heads 50% of the time..) The large the number of flips, the more likely this is.. . But the flip a coin.. And it's chaos.. Chance is supreme. This is a particular freedom that anarchy does not promise.
the difference I suppose is subtle.. But to me its huge..
the ruling hierarchy on the board is anarchy– and while it is not a utopia, we are all pretty civil, and self governing – with out to much self censoring. (The gutter police – might say not enough self censoring.. But who are the gutter police? )
But AWAD also has chaos– any word tossed out.. Might be a spring board to a thousand other thoughts.. You can never tell which threads will go on and on for hundreds of post– changing subjects, weaving together ideas..going back to the original post.. And some thread start strong and in a few days.. drop out of site..
Indeed, even after flipping heads a hundred times, the chance for another heads is only 50%. Unfortunately for Guildenstern, Rosencrantz had luck on his side.
Would you believe...? That they're right in the next room as I write?
They're on TVland at 5:00PM, 10:30 PM (I'm not sure about this one. It might be 10:00), and 2:00 AM, if you don't know. edit I decided that it is, indeed, 10:30.
