This is great Max. So fast! I could see all the photographs without spending a fortune. ---- I thought earlier that Faldage is a man. It is nice to know he is a very pretty woman.
Didn't you say, in another thread, the you were short and round? It seems to me, if the person in your picture is really you, that you are only older than I thought.
... which brings one to the inevitable US'ns vs y'all*. (or as the old song goes, "I say tomayto, you say tomahto"). Indeed, the website provider's server is probably down. I wish patience to all.
Avy, Faldage is a good-looking man. For a Hall of Mirrors kind o' guy [ahem]

(Ænigna wants 'Yagi' for y'all. Not as good as Sparteye's Bonanza Motel, but in these circumstances, whatchagonna do?)
Max, I had no problems with Netscape 4.75. (Or IE 5.5) It shows the picture gallery just fine. Always a problem with that kind of page to decide how wide to make it; how big a screen does your audience have, and how much scrolling will they have to do? It is fine for me as it is, but some viewers may be screen-impoverished. Rod
OK, OK! I'll see what I can do [echoes Bingley grump]
This weekend I went to a production of Fidelio at Glyndebourne, so got misel awl tarted up like a pengwin (thought of you, *girls!) I may end up with a usable photo from one of the relics. BTW, one of the national papers included a comment in the review about DJs being the 'last vestige of costume of the British upper classes' or some such crack - I laughed, basically agreeing, but nevertheless bit on the protocol for the sake of the *girls in our party. Takes an effort to get me to wear a suit nowadays!
This will take some organising. Go to shops, buy film, ...
The only picture I had at hand was the one I used to advertise my motorbike thus she is the protagonist. By the way, I haven’t sold her yet. Max, remember, ten percent is yours.
I'm with the luddites. The technology involved in photographs alone is almost overwhelming; the uber-tech involved in sending an image across cyberspace is beyond me absent an attentive bench coach. Maybe when Capital Kiwi drops by, he can talk me through it?
I have one of those scanners that came with the computer package. Tried reading manual ... HA! ... so far have gotten one picture into the computer ... no idea how to send a photo onward. Ohhh, maybe my cyber cafe ???? !!! And if I have success and it scares you to death , well, you asked, nay, begged for it.
Just as an aside, a friend recently returned from a trip to Italy where he asked about availability of Internet Cafes only to discover from an Italian that in Italy the public access places are called Internet Points ... in case you're travelling.
Luddite Unite!-- Actually getting a digital pix is not all that hard--or expensive.
Take a picture with your favorite camera (a disposable, a 35 mm single lens, a PHD camera (push here dummy--automatic) using you favorite film (the ones on sale!) and then take them to any reasonable place-- your local photo shop, Costco, Kmart, Walmart..
and for an extra $5 (US) get the entire roll on Disks! (usually 2 floppys for a roll of 24--) for $10 you can get a CD cut-- but i usually find i don't really want to save all of the photos--only about half-- so why pay more? Its easier to edit floppies.
Each floppy come with a "Kodak Photo viewer" so you can see "thumbnails" (small images that load super fast-) and then click on the thumbnail for a full size image.
the kodak disk images (JPEG's) are easy to use-- and you just "Mail" them like any other attachment--(use the Paperclip icon... look on A: (your floppy..) and your on your way!
the same images can be used for "wallpaper" or screen saver images...
the real trick is to be in front of the camera!
Max's new web site has a "mail to" option.. you can mail your photo to him...
If you need more detail directions--send me a PM (meanwhile, i have spend all my time behind the camera-- so I don't have any ready images.. but I bet Max could find one.. (hint-- there are image of me posted elsewhere on the net--not my doing.. I did mention my son was a webmaster didn't i? and he is not the only one who has plastered my face in cyber space.-- really does any one need that?)
Great site, Max! My Netscape gets it fine! Curious how often the images we create through the personalities we sense through the interaction of words seem to resemble reality quite closely in most cases..."in most cases" being my safety valve here! (Watching Sir Paul McCartney on Larry King right now, God I'm getting old) Of course, my present state of computer savvy doesn't permit me to contribute just yet (thanks, of troy, for rendering that last excuse irrelevant with your crash cyber-photo course! ). But, of course, I could never go before Jackie posts hers! (there's my out!)
C'mon Jackie, double dare you twice over ... Enough of this false modesty! If I can brave the "exposure" so can you. And we will all see you through the eyes of love. wow And Mav, now that you've had your lil' joke ...??? No guts, no glory!
