OP What'd you give 'em, huh? Will you tell us?
During a discussion on the users' forum, there, I had made a crack about "having to use an Australian dictionary - who would have thunk there was such a thing." This led to one of the developers asking what the differences were between Australian and New Zealand English, to which I replied that one of the major differences was the use of Maaori in NZ English. This led to an exchange of emails, and I was able to help them develop the two hundred word Maaori spell-check add-on. I was surprised to discover that there are so many Maaori words that are either in everyday use in NZ English, or that are understood in context when used in English. It was great fun, and a learning experience as well.
