What's this 'lo' business I thought, so ILIU and it is either.. Interj. Used to attract attention or to show surprise. OR Look, see, behold, etc (AHD)
If the former meaning is applicable then 'Lo, behold!' would suffice, would it not? If it's the latter meaning which applies, why the repetition?
[hmm, if this IS a YART, then I've left myself wide open]

Yeah, it's a YART but a goodie  Sparteye had some excellent comments on this type of usage, as did others. Maybe someone stronger than I can dig up the thread. Faldage, right. And I'm the Queen of England.
