Do other countries have anything similar?
In Spain Mothers day was last Sunday because we celebrate it the first Sunday of may. Our custom this day is buying a present to our mother.
Most veteran people says that this is not a traditional celebration here and it was imported on the late sixties by some shopping centers chains in order to increase their sales.
