I know we did chevron a bit ago, but I had a new thought. If chevron is derived from "goat" what would happen to you car if you mixed "Chevron" gas with the brand that "puts a Tiger in your Tank"?

He really should know better by now. Give him one more chance before revoking his membership though, eh!

5ME cheveroun < OFr chevron, orig., rafter < VL *caprione < L caper, goat: see CAPRIOLE6
1 a heraldic device in the shape of an inverted V
2 an insignia consisting of a V3shaped bar or bars, worn on the sleeve as of a military or police uniform to show rank or service

I wonder how the etymology went from "goat" to "rafter".

You go, girl!
Somebody around here has to keep the house in order or else strangers will not see their way around. It is hard enough to know where the YART is hiding let alone what it means.
So please listen up, y'all.

This thread is the answer to the initial question of what happens if you mix Chevron and tiger in your tank. Get AS's goat and she'll jump on you like a tiger.
