As the last thread is hideously long, and taking note of some-all's difficulties with loading that, I thought it might be a public service to set up a new lamp-post...

The previous thread had concluded with Fiberbabe's 'my eye on you' story, followed by:

That would have provided an interesting variant on the tossing of the bridal bouquet...

Actually my jest was a dog. Catching the eye would not get any batchelor le droit d'attrappeur (no seigneurs in the crowd.) If a bridemaid caught the bouquet, the meaning of that is clear. But my store of ribaldry lore suggests nothing amusing that could result from a bridesmaid's catching the glass eye, though she might be the cynosure of all eyes. I hand the leash back to you, maverick!
