After I am on the Board awhile, when I use the back button it says "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" Nothing helps.
Have tried to go to forum, no joy. Tried Main Board, sigh!
Finally have to reboot to get back in.
Is it me and my particular PC or my local network or The Machine or .... Is anyone else having this problem?
Or am I alone

sounds like it's time to clean out your cache... I've got some great Florida beachfront property....

I'm having it too. I have found that exiting Internet and entering it again seems to solve problem. That does seem to mean problem could be in my system. Not sure of status of my cache, will check it. But wow mentioned once before that she often empties cache, so maybe that is not necessarily the solution.

I have two big fat Windows books. One mentions cache, but does not say a mumbling word about emptying it or anything else about it. RTFM does not always help. That F if for funny.

Bill, if you use Internet Explorer 5.x try this

Tools>Internet Options then in the "Temporary Internet Files section, click Settings then View Files then click Edit>Select All then click delete, and answer yes when asked if you wish to delete them. Then just "OK" your way back out. You will then have an empty cache.

I get stuck with a message that my script request is too long. I empty my temporary internet files regularly, so I don't think that is the problem.

Only problem is now Amazon and Symantec won't know me anymore. Plus maybe a couple more surprises.(I cleaned out Internet Explorer just the way Max told me to.There were so many cookies I junked them all, rather than trying to go through such a long list.)

If you use Netscape Navigator, you can set the cache to purge as often as every completed internet session. IE likely has some settings too.

Also, what's your hard drive space like? If it's getting a little crowded, that can cause problems too.

I get this as well but only at work. What happens at home is that the page is headed by about two screens full of garbage with lots of % signs, and then the page. When that happens I can't go back to that page, all I get is the page not found message, but if I go back further and then follow the path again (by actually doing it, not by hitting forward) I can continue. (When this happens the NEW signs become totally unreliable. Some things I have read are marked new, and some things I haven't are not marked new. ) I never get this at work and I assume it's because the computer there can't cope with the two screens of garbage as the too long script request also seems to involve lots of % signs.

And since it's happened right on cue, after exiting and re-entering I can paste a small part of what I get:
(Interesting thing is, the preview has changed most of the % to commas)

I've added the line breaks to avoid very wide screens.
