I would like to know the origins of the phrase "weighs XX pounds dripping wet"
Some seem to think that phrase primarily refers to the extra weight the water would add to the person, while others think this refers to the minimum, "no clothes," post shower weight.
I'd love to know the actual origin of this phrase.
Ask at wordorigins. You're more likely to get an intelligent answer there. That's their business, word and phrase origins.
So that is you at that site. I've visited it often, posted
little, but really enjoy that site and have really learned
a lot there. Saw your name there but was not sure.

"Ask at wordorigins."
Thanks for the reference. I have posted the question there.
And received some good discussion as well.
