I took it home, and had a very lovable line of "Tuxedo" cats, looking like Sylvester. Incidentally they all had double paws,

How nice that they were all dressed up to go dancing. To the two-step, no doubt.

Dear TEd: and if I remember correctly El Gordo is not a tale bearer?

Dear Sparteye: They were turned away from all ballrooms, because though they wore Tuxedos, they also wore white hip boots, and refused to take off their white gloves.
And ladies in Tuxedos had not yet come into style.

"They are miniature predators; if they were big enough, they would eat you." Food for thought.

And then some still try anyway. [gives Isis a sour look]

NAmed after the first president and his wife. the imbicile cats are named Jenny and Rita. Rita is 20 and Jenny is 2. Jenny has the stange habit of licking you and then biting you.

What's strange about that? Obviously she wants to know how you taste before she bites into you.

I have had many pets. I currently own 2 dogs, Blackie for obvious reasons, and Kodi (short for Kodiak Bear, what she looked like when we got her.) Not too long ago we had three cats, Boots - had white paws, Scoot - used to run the porch rail lickety-split to get away from the dogs, and my husband insisted we needed a Boogie so we could have
boot-scootin'-boogie. The bad part is neither of us know how to do that dance.

I've recently been wanting to get an Irish Setter and name it Potato.

For reasons lost in the mists of time, the elegant, smoky grey Persian we had throughout my childhood was named Potato. I think my older brother named her, when he was first learning to speak, but no one's sure.

My partner's family until recently had a long-haired grey, who looked much like Potato, whose name was Chairman Mao (I understand mao is "cat" in Mandarin - confirmation of this anyone?).

My own cat is named Nico, and and he's got very sleek, black fur, he's know as Nico and the Velvet Underbelly.

My son has two frogs (hylas, in fact), although there were originally three of them, which he named when he was 2 years old: Humpty-Dumpty, Violin, and A (his first initial). Violin and A live on, and it turns out a 3-year old is not responsible enough to care for them. Frogs, anyone?

I also have a snake named Raya ("stripe" in Spanish) because she comes from Mexico and looks like this:

I've been told that no further pets will be allowed in the house.

Nice to be back,

Hyla
