Well, those words start with an /hj/. The /j/ (not the "j" of jewel, but the "j" of German ja) sort of moves the glottal fricative "h" up a bit towards the soft pallette. So it seems closer to "ch" /ç/ in German ich /ɪç/. Ceci n'est pas un seing.
