I am no word expert, but I thought that it might mean "sandy." My reasoning: 1. 'Arenary' contains the word 'arena'. Looking at the etymology, 'arena' is related to the Latin 'harena', meaning 'sand' 2. Sounds like you made a pretty good guess. Arena is also Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian for 'sand'.
