I complain about the UD often and I thought I should really try this open dictionary, just to see. so I submitted a def'n two or three weeks ago (actually, I see that it was on 2/11 it was ack'd).
it's no big deal to add a def'n - the form ( link ) is straight-forward, except for adding five(5!) tags.
anyways, 17 days later, after I had forgotten I'd done this, I got a note that it has been accepted.
and here it is: urinator![]()
you'll note that I've been relegated to the bottom, due to not having any votes cast for it.
edit: as a bonus, you get to see a prime example of the lunacy of it all.

Isn't the deponent infinitive urinori?
ūrīnārī, to dive [OED online]
ūrīnor , āri, v. dep. (ante-class. collat. form ūrīno , āre)
[Lewis & Short]
I was just sayin'. You used the infinitive for the regler shoulda used it for the deponent, too. Or either that or used the first person, present for the regler. Urban dictionary ain't a Latin-English dictionary.Even the AHD doesn't cite Latin origins in the standard Latin dictionary form.
as you know, I don't consider UD to be an (legitimate) English dictionary. so.
(besides, my Latin is stuck in 9th grade.)
The Urban Dictionary may not be legit, well it is legit as far as 'common usage' and thats how it functions...just collecting data from people and I guess when those people check a word, its spreading the word by its existence.
So, tsuwm. Would you feel better about it if it called itself The Urban Slang Translator?

no, but then I'm just urinated by the way the voting is going.

For best thought for the day....Faldage
Sort of interesting how the votes in favor are the ones
which will become the definition when an "almost" equal
number of negatives won't. I wonder if they will always
include the vote.
