Previous Thread Next Thread Print Thread Urban Dictionary #197924 03/03/2011 2:06 PM Joined: Apr 2000 Posts: 10,542 this too shall pass tsuwm Carpal Tunnel tsuwm Carpal Tunnel Joined: Apr 2000 Posts: 10,542 this too shall pass I complain about the UD often and I thought I should really try this open dictionary, just to see. so I submitted a def'n two or three weeks ago (actually, I see that it was on 2/11 it was ack'd). it's no big deal to add a def'n - the form ( link ) is straight-forward, except for adding five(5!) tags. anyways, 17 days later, after I had forgotten I'd done this, I got a note that it has been accepted. and here it is: urinator you'll note that I've been relegated to the bottom, due to not having any votes cast for it. edit: as a bonus, you get to see a prime example of the lunacy of it all. You used the infinitive for the regler shoulda used it for the deponent, too. Or either that or used the first person, present for the regler. Urban dictionary ain't a Latin-English dictionary.Even the AHD doesn't cite Latin origins in the standard Latin dictionary form. (besides, my Latin is stuck in 9th grade.)
