I usually use the Firefox web browser, and my 'overhead' has become very cluttered. I use the Menu Bar often, esp. for History and a full list of Bookmarks. I use the Navigation Toolbar for URL recall and changing Search Engines. I use the Bookmarks Toolbar for my 15 or 16 most often used bookmarks. and boy, howdy, is the top of my browser screen bollixed by all of this stuff.

so, I recall from my personalizing presentation, I can turn off all of the tool-bars by right-clicking in the Menu Bar area and individually un-checking (or up-chucking, if you prefer) each one of them. but now I find I can't get them back (remember, I often use each of them) because there's no Menu Bar to right click in!

in despair, I google firefox toolbars missing (actually one of the google suggestions as I typed 'firefox t') and I found this common answer to what seems a very common problem:
