Yes, I've heard a number of conversations with it.
David Letterman used it the other night, asking what it
was, odd, since he used to be a meteorologist.

Maybe it is a new or forgotten meteorological phenomenen. This December we had not only a huge amount of snow, we also had heavy snowfall with thunder and lightning. I don't remember having seen this before. I think we named it 'dondersneeuw' as well.

The CNN meteorologist, R. Wolf, was forecasting it last
week for the New England states. I've experienced it here.
