I like the comment about "generalizing others' names as having shortcomings". We have that with the poor people from Iowa. When ever there is a traffic jam and an Iowan is involved, the comment is "See I-O-W-A: Idiots Out Wandering Around". There are three of four similar comments made with the words of their state.

Idiots Out Wandering Around Oh, that's great! We have to be content with "damn Hoosiers"! From this week's theme, I must deduce that the folks in Big Ugly, West Virginia surely are known as Big Ugly people...

Means something to me: the inhabitants of Monaco (the principality and the city). It's pretty straight forward (Frenchish) adjectival form of Monaco. The dialect spoken there as well as the rest of that eastern part of the French Riviera, is rather close to the Gallo-Italian dialects of Liguria across the Italian border. (In fact, the Monagasque royal family's name is Grimaldi and they originally were from Liguria and under the control of the Republic of Genoa.)
As for the folks from Wagga Wagga, I suppose if I had to coin a term I would go with Corvopolitanian (from the Modern Latin name for the city Corvopolitanus). Wagga and corvus mean 'crow' in Wiradjun and Latin respectively.
Ceci n'est pas un seing.

.... Wagga Wagga, New South Wales?????What do people there call themselves?? Candy? Wagga Wagga (pronounced wog-a wog-a) was named by the Wiradjuri people and does mean crow.... as zmjezhd said. The Aboriginal way of making a 'plural' is to repeat a word, so Wagga Wagga translates to the place of many crows. The people from there don't like their town name to be shortened to just Wagga, but everyone does it. Also...can I say that the word Aboriginal is never said Aboriginals (with the 's'). There is no plural. We have one Aboriginal or many Aboriginal.

The reduplication in this case represents a diminutive: Walla Walla means 'little river'.
