Wagga Wagga (pronounced wog-a wog-a) was named by the Wiradjuri people and does mean crow.... as zmjezhd said. The Aboriginal way of making a 'plural' is to repeat a word, so Wagga Wagga translates to the place of many crows. The people from there don't like their town name to be shortened to just Wagga, but everyone does it.

Also...can I say that the word Aboriginal is never said Aboriginals (with the 's'). There is no plural. We have one Aboriginal or many Aboriginal.
