I like the Hungarian notion of how to do confetti.

Yes, and that's the Armil theory again...that just suffered two consecutive counterexamples...
Gotta think about this one a bit.

First, a confession: the one I submitted was actually suggested by my husband, as I simply could not think of anything, and he is very good at Balderdash. P'raps you all would be willing to allow a substitute player for this round? [batting eyes prettily e]
I vote for C.

Before I vote I would like to ask if it would be possible to keep the initial headline of the topic intact or at least keep it regocnizable. I've been looking all over the place to find the results. Curse, gnar, drat, woof toozle and all. Great and difficult choice of nice ones!

Its puzzling how two daffynitions ended up with similar meaning...I'm guessing they are the original concept.
But I really like L its brilliant and should be a new word, well I'm going to use it....toozling isn't it.

A scissor's screw is only half a screw. If half a screw is a toozle it could be A

If you scroll up, Jackie, you'll see it got changed to something about a hairdresser for a bit. It threw me off, too, so Bran has company in her frustration!
I'm going with the Scots on this one; I'll take H.

My page for the W & F forum shows: "Voting has opened on TOOZLE".My WF page shows it too, but I hardly use it. I always jump straight to 'active topics' where I know what's running. (unless it's been diguised) Not a heartbraking issue; I'll remember checking the W&F.

believe it or else: in more than ten years of (over)use of these forums, I have *never* clicked on "Active Topics"† - thus my utter confusion at this plaint. -joe btfsplk
† - FWIW, or for the rookies, when I reach the WTalk homepage via bookmark, I immediately know if there are any new messages from the first column in the General Topics table. if that icon is colored (yellow), then you have new posts to read. if you click on the respective forum name, the next page shows unread subjects, again with a yellow icon in column one. clicking on such a subject takes you to the first unread post therein, and bobsyeruncle.

Utter confusion? That's worse than what I had. Both on the yellow flapped General Topics and Active Topics when someone changed the initial title of a topic it means searching unless it becomes obvious from the contents of the post (as in the anagram game). Only on Forums the topic title stays unchangeable. Just ask * Twosleepy * .

sorry for being obtuse on this minor point, but if I see there is a new post(s) in 'Wordplay and fun', then go there, I quickly can see if there is a new post(s) in 'Voting has opened on Toozle'
don't you play the anagrams game, where the title is ever-changing?!

I always jump straight to 'active topics' I have never done this, either! I open it to the screen that lists all of the forums (I&A, Q&A, etc.) then go to the ones with the yellow flags.

I'll answer that for Bran.....yes she does, but not as regularly as the rest of us that just love the 'extra twist' with the answers we come up with. Sorry if it confuses things for everybody else.

Christopher Robin Had wheezles And sneezles, They bundled him Into His bed. They gave him what goes With a cold in the nose, And some more for a cold In the head. They wondered If wheezles Could turn Into measles, If sneezles Would turn Into mumps; They examined his chest For a rash, And the rest Of his body for swellings and lumps. They sent for some doctors In sneezles And wheezles To tell them what ought To be done. All sorts and conditions Of famous physicians Came hurrying round At a run. They all made a note Of the state of his throat, They asked if he suffered from thirst; They asked if the sneezles Came after the wheezles, Or if the first sneezle Came first. They said, "If you teazle A sneezle Or wheezle, A measle May easily grow. But humour or pleazle The wheezle Or sneezle, The measle Will certainly go." They expounded the reazles For sneezles And wheezles, The manner of measles When new. They said "If he freezles In draughts and in breezles, Then PHTHEEZLES May even ensue."
Christopher Robin Got up in the morning, The sneezles had vanished away. And the look in his eye Seemed to say to the sky, "Now, how to amuse them to-day?"

A right fun old piece of rhyme. Glad you dug that out, good to see it again. Good old Christopher Robin.
