I've been looking for the word that would be the technical term or formal equivalent of a King Solomon's Ring, skeleton key (such as the one for FINNEGANS WAKE, or Rosetta Stone, decryptor or decoder,a pony or philosopher's stone for enigmatic language, such as poetry.

BABEL FISH!!! Sorry...I have been rereading Hitchhiker's Guide...wouldn't a babel fish just make life sooo much easier...oh and in answer to your question...metaphrast - on all points
----The next sentence is true. The previous sentence is false----
----please, draw me a sheep----
Always keep in mind: traduttore - traditore
I don't believe that rephrasing poetry will make the author's original meaning more understandable
