"Very nearly everything in history very nearly did not happen." Philip Guedalla??
i got this gem from father years ago and was looking for the actual context. i could not find one reliable. one in German referred to a britischer schriftsteller and one attributed it to A.N. Whitehead. not having access to a major library i am unable to check all of Mr. Guedalla's works, speeches, and essays. any suggestions?
