Oh! This is one of tsuwm's favorite things!
... no trend has been more obtrusive in recent years than the changing of nouns into verbs. “Trend” itself (now used as a verb meaning “change or develop in a general direction”, as in “unemployment has been trending upwards”) is further evidence of—sorry, evidences—this phenomenon.
Yeah, a lot of these are...kind of yucky, for lack of a better term.
Good article--thanks for posting this!

RECENCY ILLUSION!!!
Verbing nouns (and nouning verbs) has been a feature of the language since before the beginning. If it seems more prominent now it's only because there's more being put into print.

what in the world is a zorb? 'Zorbing' is when people go in those giant inflatable hamster balls and roll down a hill... Link my favourite bit of this website is the little sheep at the bottom of the page you go to after clicking 'ready to roll'

I went to that site and everything, but missed the sheep, even read all the posts here and still missed it. Thanks, Jackie.

Oh no! The sheep is the best bit! If you click on it it tells you that it is indeed possible to not die whilst 'zorbing' Also if when you are actively putting pen to paper you are writing, what is it called when you are doing calligraphy? I believe that under this 'verbing' thing, whilst writing calligraphy you are calligraphing or calligraphying...?

For me it would be ink-smudging.

Haha! I can do it for about three words, then (if long words) I get cramp from writing so slowly or, (if short words) I get bored of the tedious slow writing and give up for the use of normal writing...sigh...should get lessons on how to calligraphy/calligriphate quickly!
