Today's word, KATZENJAMMER," may appear in "The Voyage of the Beagle" and "Sailing Alone Around the World." Both Darwin and Slocum describe the constant shouts of the menacing Patagonian natives, demanding gifts: "YAMMER SCHOONER, YAMMER SCHOONER." Another nautical association may be "Windjammer," a tall ship which carrying sails numerous and strong enough to go fast, VERY fast, in boisterous winds. Any other takes on "Yammer schooner?"

'by and large'. No, not really. But I would find it jammer (Du. regretful) not to take the chance of giving an image of that wonder type of sailing ship 'windjammer' -------------- Happy sails

I'd love to sail on one. What a thrill.

So they had many 'all hands on deck'. I had a jiggsaw puzzle of such a ship and made him just once.

As you can see from my unsmily I would rather call it stubbornness.

I love puzzles. My idea of happiness. The only worry is wondering whether all the pieces are there. Nothing as devasting as looking at a "completed" puzzle with pieces missing: there are these holes, but no pieces left to fill the holes! Awful! ETA: it's best to work on an out-of-the-box puzzle.
