Actually, it's accented on the second syllable (shmuh-GEG-ee) in my experience.

The only time I ever heard the word schmugeggy was on an old Rugrats episode in which the grandfather fell down, and the grandmother asks him, "Did you fall on your schmugeggy?" So I always thought that a schmugeggy was a backside.

It seems that Yiddish language is growing in usage with its exposure on many American TV programs, like Seinfeld, The Nanny and Martha Stewart.

And, thinking about the word 'schmugeggy'.......

reminded me of the word SMEG as used frequently by Dave Lister in the science fiction series, Red Dwarf. (I have seen every episode).
Smeg, and variants such as 'smegger' and 'smeg-head' were used as fictional swear words. It sounds the same.

Hmmm yeah I have a fridge and it definitely says SMEG on the front of it...
