Milne's mistaken assumption that the teddy bear, being named for Theodore Roosevelt [true], also could also be assigned the fanciful name Edward, like Edward/Teddy Kennedy [but that wasn't the case for TR]. So you found the Pooh onnicle? And the infant marsupial, who started this discussion? (He doesn't appear until Chapter 6.)
