Another meaning of "aeolian" is a mode, i.e. a scale of musical notes, used in the theory of European medieval music. (Visual Thesaurus also omits this meaning.) It coincides with the natural minor scale. The most recent popular piece I know of in the natural minor scale, and hence in the aeolian mode, is Ghost Riders in the Sky, but I'm not hip on popular music, so maybe there is a more recent example.
