Interesting posts. It shows from the wiki article that the change to the plural ending was already made in Italy: "Tasso became de Tassis (Ruggiano de Tassis founded a postal service in Italy.)Quote:Ruggiano de Tassis founded a postal service in Italy. Torquato Tasso Tasso was a famous member of the Tassi, maybe distant, as he origins from the heel of the boot.
