I would have never got lariat. Thanks Jackie. May I take this forward? LARIAT Clue: Eating crumbs made electra ill yet she insisted on following hansel and gretel. just following beck - word spelt out in part and described by the whole. This is fun!

The word is not 'rated'. I should have given the hint. the word and its synonym is spelt out across words.

or

EARTH
And we'll need another clue to tell which is correct! Either way, my clues and word will still work out (which, in itself, is another clue)
