OP The anagram game could be played with a clue. This means each player gives a clue as to what the next word will be. If the word is RECORDS then the clue for the next could be 'the colour schemes for a room.' The next player then gets the word to fit the clue which is in this example would be DECORS. The player then sets the clue for the next player, which could be "notch a point" the next player would have to find the word SCORED and then set the next clue. The difference is you work each set of words twice - once to get the word and again to set it.
I just thought of this version, which we could try out or not. The current version is fine. I don't think we should stop it. I enjoy it.
