I'd like to tap the creative minds on this board for an ear-catching company name. Here is a description of the company:

This company will design, manufacture and (maybe) distribute lighting products for residential and commercial use. These products will be based on a form of clean, green, energy-efficient technology not currently available in any lighting market.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Would it be possible/ useful to know what that technology is based on?

My first thought was Fiat Lux or Lux Aeterna. Lucent has already been taken. Lambent? Aglow?

Bran: It's a form of LED technology.

zmjezhd: It's funny because those are names for pieces we've sung in our choir... I think it should be a few words. The name they have now is fairly stilted and boring.

"A New Light"; the advertising slogan could be You Will See Things in A New Light. (Sorry, I know it's not very good. I am not a creative person.)

I thought of "green noir technologies" (or grenoir if you want a portmanteau) thinking noir means new in french. When I looked up noir I found it means stylish but it also means (a cinematic style) characterised by low lighting. smile

Well, I like "Seeing things in a new light". That's very good. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think the "low lighting" bit would be a tad contradictory! :0)
So, it would be "green neuf technologies", but I'm not sure that would fly in the US...

That was a fun suggestion. I had put a smiley on my post which did not register. I think I should add [smiley] instead of a colon and bracket.

Maybe " LEAD ON " and the letter A a bit dimmed, so that the led idea keeps coming through?
