Buff thank you for that. I shall copy it to Word, print it, stick it up beside my PC, then when I can work up the courage and have an entire day to spare, attempt its application to a URL. Again thank you most kindly

Whoa again! The last attempt in my last post actually worked in the final product but at first I didn't recognize the "jackie" as the actual link because for years if not decades in other boards where I've had to post a link, the url was underlined in blue--or is that purple--
----So it turns out after all that "Web Page Title" really means "Insert desired title for link to url identified to the right in black". Perhaps I wouldn't have traversed so many worthless circles if I had spent more time reading and attempting to understand all you guys' helpful contributions, I'm just too impatient
But "Web Page Title" seems to me misleading, sound like it should be a title at the top of a Web page, but who am I
Thanks again guys but again shouldn't all this sturm und drang in linkuifying a url be done automatically by board software
Admin where are you

Well Buff it required 11 keystrokes but didn't work as you can see. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding of some sort, where you and I, through no fault of your own, don't mean exactly the same things by "url" and "link"

Perhaps there is a misunderstanding of some sort, where you and I, through no fault of your own, don't mean exactly the same things by "url" and "link"You really shouldn't try to use the InterWeb, dahil. It's arcane protocols and quotidian mungings are beyond your ken. [ url= link ] title [ /url ] The text in red are keywords and stay as they are written. The text in Green get replaced by the URL, link, or resource locator. The text in blue is the text of the hyperlink itself. For example: [ url= http://www.example.com/rtfm.html ] Something short and pithy. [ /url ] With all the spaces removed between square brackets and keywords, etc. Something short and pithy. Not that this will help ...

You know, he does this on purpose. He has admitted as much when Eta pushed him on it. Nothing we say or do can change that.

We could always go back to the original question. It seems to me that extremophile isn't quite the right answer. It refers to an organism that requires environmental conditions far out side the range of normal but not necessarily a narrow range of conditions. Even if a given extremophile requires a narrow range of conditions, that's an additional factor and not the one that merits it the designation extremophile.
