dale, if you haven't been there already, and have lots of patience, give this a try: reverse lookup <smirk> Touche' tsu. However I myself seldom use the Reverse Dictionary as I'm too impatient, nurturing the hope that somebody will instead provide the answer off the top of his head From the recent loss of activity however I no longer so nurture my hopes

Physical and social laws of nature can sometimes be equated with mathematics. I believe the Fiendish one touched on 'Emergence' a couple of months back. Hope this helps.
